Did Michael landon has cancer when he played Little House on the Prairie?

Michael Landon did not have cancer when he played Charles Ingalls in "Little House on the Prairie."

He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1991, a few years after the show ended. He died from the disease in 1991 at the age of 54.
