Who is Antolini in Catcher the Rye?

Antolini is a friend of Holden's family and a former English professor at NYU who is currently living with his wife in New York City. Holden meets up with Antolini in New York after running away from Pencey Prep. Antolini offers Holden a place to stay for the night and tries to help him through his troubles, offering him emotional support and advice.
