Is the globe theatre same as original?

The current Globe Theatre on London's Southbank is a reconstruction of the original Globe Theatre, built in 1599 and destroyed by fire in 1613. The reconstruction was completed in 1997, using similar materials and techniques as the original. However, there are some differences between the original Globe and its reconstruction:

- The original Globe Theatre was built on the south bank of the River Thames, while the reconstructed theatre is located on the north bank.

- The original Globe Theatre had a thatched roof, while the reconstructed theatre has a tiled roof.

- The original Globe Theatre was a wooden structure, while the reconstructed theatre has a steel frame.

- The reconstructed theatre is slightly larger than the original Globe Theatre.

Despite these differences, the reconstructed Globe Theatre is generally considered to be a faithful reproduction of the original. It is used for performances of Shakespeare's plays and other Elizabethan dramas, and it is a popular tourist destination.
