What happened to cutpurses at the globe theater?

During the performances, pickpockets, also called cutpurses, and conmen abounded in all areas except, allegedly, on the stage itself. Cutpurses, often working in pairs during these crowded performances would slice a victim’s pockets with a knife on one end of two- or three-foot-long rods; one partner would distract while the other went to work.
