What did a globe theatre look like from the outside?
The Globe Theatre's exterior had a polygonal shape with a round turret housing the stage and a thatched roof. The walls were built of timber, and the windows were topped with gables and finials. The main entrance was through a large, arched doorway on the south side of the building, and there was a smaller doorway on the north side for actors to enter and exit the stage. The Globe Theatre also had a flagpole on the roof, which was used to fly flags during performances.
