What is theatre to you?

Theatre is an art form that uses live performance to present stories, ideas, and emotions in front of an audience. It can be seen as a mirror of society, reflecting its joys, sorrows, struggles, and aspirations. As a theatrical performer, I find theatre to be both a passion and a way of communicating and connecting with people. Through stories and characters, actors have the power to touch hearts, transport audiences to different worlds, and provide insight into different aspects of human existence. Being onstage and performing feels fulfilling, as it allows me to embody the emotions and perspectives of someone else, temporarily living and breathing their experiences. In its essence, theatre is both entertainment and social commentary, challenging audiences to perceive the world from various viewpoints. Its beauty lies in the collective creativity and the energy shared between performers and audience. For me, theatre is a dynamic mix of storytelling, art, and emotional expressiveness.
