How to Clean a Circus Tent

At a circus, a tent is often the first thing visitors will see, so it's important to keep it clean. Tent cleaning is simple to do, but requires time, patience and physical endurance. You'll be scrubbing with your arms and bent over for a long period of time. Depending on the size of your tent, get someone or a group of people to assist you. This will help limit the amount of time it takes to cover the entire surface.

Instructions

    • 1

Dilute the vinyl cleaner by adding 25 parts water to one part cleaner solution.

    • 2

Use a broom to clean any dust or dirt off the tent.

    • 3

Stretch out your tent so it lies flat. Take a towel and dunk it in the cleaning solution, then use it to rub the surface of your tent. If your tent is really dirty, use the brush to scrub instead of the towel. Dip it in the cleaning solution and scrub the tent. As you continually dip the towel or brush in the solution, you'll want to rinse it off occasionally. For convenience, use the other 5-gallon bucket for water.

Use the citro cleaner and the brush to scrub away sticky sap or adhesive marks.
