Synopsis:
"OPERA" is a short musical drama film about a retired opera singer named Mi-yeon, who lives a lonely and isolated life in the rural countryside. Her passion for singing once fueled her dreams and brought joy to others.
Still longing for those moments, she finds solace by revisiting her past performances and immersing herself in music within the solitude of her home. Mi-yon’s routine is disrupted when an unexpected visitor, a struggling musician named Sang-jin, arrives at her doorstep seeking shelter from the rain.
As the pair spend the night together, Mi-yeon becomes intrigued by Sang-jin's talent and his enthusiasm to pursue his musical aspirations. Despite the pain and uncertainty that still lingers from her past, Mi-yeon feels a spark of hope rekindle within her as they share a powerful and cathartic musical moment that transcends their own individual struggles.
