Quvenzhané Wallis is an American actress. She rose to fame at the age of 6, when she starred in the 2012 film Beasts of the Southern Wild. For her performance, she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress, becoming the youngest nominee in the category's history.
Wallis has since starred in a number of other films, including 12 Years a Slave (2013), Annie (2014), and The Secret Life of Pets (2016). She has also voiced characters in the animated films Trolls (2016) and Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018).
In 2014, Wallis was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world. She is an advocate for children's rights and has worked with several charities, including the United Nations Foundation and the Save the Children Fund.
