Where has macduff gone by the end of Act 3 in macbeth?

By the end of Act 3 in Macbeth, Macduff has gone to England to seek assistance from King Edward in deposing Macbeth. Macduff is motivated by his desire for justice and revenge for Macbeth's murder of King Duncan and his family, as well as by his concern for the welfare of Scotland under Macbeth's tyrannical rule.
