Why does Antigone not fight death sentence in

Antigone does fight her death sentence. She argues with Creon, the king of Thebes, about the injustice of his decision to execute her. She explains that she is only following the laws of the gods and that she is willing to die for her beliefs. Creon does not listen to her arguments, and he orders her to be buried alive.
