Who is better a Montague or Capulet?

Neither the Montagues nor the Capulets are inherently better than the other. They are two families in a long-standing conflict driven by their rivalry and mutual hatred in William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet." Both families are portrayed with flaws, and the play highlights the consequences of their feud, which affect the lives of their younger generation, particularly Romeo and Juliet.

The play does not attempt to depict one family as inherently superior to the other. Instead, it emphasizes the destructive nature of their conflict, showing that the feud between them has caused unnecessary suffering and loss on both sides. The focus of the play lies in exploring the futility and tragic outcomes of such intense hatred and rivalry, rather than making a judgment on the individual worth of each family.
