What does the Chorus Leader assume to be reason for Antigones decision go against her king?

Antigone's refusal to obey King Creon's edict and bury her brother, Polynices, is driven by her sense of familial duty and religious obligation. She believes that the gods demand that she honor her brother's memory and give him a proper burial, regardless of the consequences. The Chorus Leader, however, assumes that Antigone's defiance is motivated by her desire for power and glory. They believe that she is willing to risk her life and the well-being of her family in order to gain fame and recognition for her actions. This misunderstanding highlights the Chorus Leader's limited understanding of Antigone's character and motivations, as well as their tendency to view her actions through the lens of their own fears and insecurities.
