* She is selfless. Antigone puts her own life at risk in order to bury her brother, even though she knows that she will be punished for it. She is willing to sacrifice her own life for the sake of her family.
* She is loyal. Antigone is loyal to her family and to the gods. She refuses to betray her family by leaving her brother unburied, even though it would be easier and safer for her to do so.
Creon's flaws:
* He is proud and arrogant. Creon believes that he is always right and that his laws should be obeyed without question. He does not listen to the advice of others, and he is quick to punish anyone who disagrees with him.
* He is tyrannical. Creon rules Thebes with an iron fist. He does not care about the welfare of his people, and he is willing to use violence and intimidation to maintain his power.
* He is unjust. Creon's law that prohibits the burial of Polyneices is unjust and cruel. It is a punishment that does not fit the crime, and it is only meant to satisfy Creon's own pride.
In contrast to Creon, Antigone is a hero because she is courageous, selfless, and loyal. She is willing to sacrifice her own life for the sake of what she believes in, and she does so without any thought of personal gain. Creon, on the other hand, is a flawed and tyrannical leader who is more interested in maintaining his own power than in doing what is right for his people.
