Generally, titles of books, plays, films, and other creative works are italicized rather than have apostrophes.
- *To Kill a Mockingbird*
- *Star Wars*
Articles (*a, an, the*) and prepositions of four letters or less are normally omitted when italicizing a title.
- *Sense and Sensibility* (rather than *Sense and the Sensibility*)
- *The Color Purple* (rather than *The Colour of Purple*)
For short stories, articles, poems, and chapters, quotation marks are used instead.
- "The Tell-Tale Heart"
- "The Road Not Taken"
However, some style guides may have different rules, so it's important to check the specific style guide being followed when writing or formatting a document.
