What does it mean to be on Oskar list?
The Oskar Schindler list refers to the list of around 1,200 Jews who were saved by Oskar Schindler during the Holocaust. Schindler, a German industrialist, created a factory in Poland that employed Jews as a way to protect them from being sent to concentration camps.
The list included the names, ages, and occupations of the Jews who worked at Schindler's factory. It was later used as evidence in the trials of Nazi war criminals to prove that Schindler had saved the lives of these people.
