Do ham need satillites to communicate?
Hams or amateur radio operators do not need satellites to communicate. They use a variety of radio frequencies and communication modes to communicate with each other, including shortwave, VHF, UHF, and microwave bands. Hams can communicate directly with each other over long distances using these frequencies without the need for satellites.
While satellites can be used for amateur radio communication, they are not essential. Satellites provide an additional means of communication, allowing hams to reach remote areas or communicate with other hams around the world. However, hams can still communicate effectively without satellites using traditional radio bands and equipment.
