Why was Julius Caesar angry that the king of Egypt had killed pompey?

Pompey was killed after fleeing to Ptolemy XIII's court in Alexandria. Ptolemy ordered the killing to curry favor with Caesar, therefore there's no reason Caesar would be angry about the king's actions.
