What is stylistic drama?

Stylistic drama is a theatrical style in which form has priority over content.

* Actors often employ heightened and highly stylised forms of dialogue or gestures. Some examples are Kabuki theatre or commedia dell'arte performances or even Greek Tragedies, where elaborate costuming, masks, dance elements and exaggerated acting are central.

* It differs from other styles for its aesthetic values.
