Why Claudius bear the play in Hamlet story?
In the story of Hamlet by William Shakespeare, King Claudius does not bear the play. Prince Hamlet stages the play "The Murder of Gonzago"to test whether King Claudius is responsible for the death of his father, the late king. The play depicts a scenario similar to the murder of Hamlet's father and observes Claudius's reaction.
