What is the conflict of Monster High book 1?

The conflict in the first Monster High book, "New Ghoul @ School", is the tension between the protagonist, Frankie Stein, and the popular ghoul at Monster High, Cleo de Nile. This conflict is caused by Cleo's prejudice and her belief that Frankie is not a true monster because she is not born from monster parents. Frankie is also a bit of a social outcast and is often the target of Cleo's bullying.
