He described the moments between being shot and waiting for the paramedics to arrive. "Everything was slowing down. I was lying in a pool of my own blood, and I just got out of the way. I'm glad that I did because he kept firing. I got shot another two times after I was on the ground."
Bash told TMZ the incident was a random drug rip that turned violent. "I wasn't selling anything. The people that were trying to do that, I knew they were trying to do that. I've turned people away from my car before. I would never jeopardize what I've worked my whole life for."
As a result of the invasion, Bash canceled several tour dates and spent weeks recovering in the hospital. Two of the gunshot wounds were believed to be serious. After the ordeal, the rapper had a new outlook on life. "Life is really short, and you're only given a certain amount of time. I have a son now, and life definitely revolves around him."
