What does Carrie Ann mean?

Meaning of Carrie Ann: Grace

American (Rare), Medieval English (Rare), Welsh

Carrie Ann is an American and medieval English version of the given name Caryn. This is a form of Karen. Karen and Caryn are variants of the Greek name Katherine, which means "pure". Katherine is traditionally rendered as Catherine in English, but a variation like Caryn came to be used in 13th century England. In Wales, the name is often rendered as Ceri. Carrie Ann is also considered to be a diminutive form of Caroline, which is a feminine form of the Germanic name Charles, meaning "free man" or "manly".
