In what condition is Betty in from The Crucible by Arthur Miller?

Betty is in a state of hysteria and delusion. She begins by having visions of people, such as Abigail Williams and Tituba, who are accusing her of practicing witchcraft. She then becomes physically ill and is unable to speak or eat. As the play progresses, her condition deteriorates and she eventually dies.
