What makes Willy Lyman different from a traditional tragic hero?

Willy Loman does not conform with the usual tragic hero archetype; he is not born into royalty or nobility. He is an ordinary individual who lacks heroic characteristics. He is neither wealthy nor powerful. Rather, he is a regular citizen who battles with commonplace issues. Additionally, Willy is not a brave character who confronts adversity with dignity. Instead, he resorts to self-deception, self-pity, and blame avoidance. Furthermore, Willy does not have a hamartia, or fatal flaw, that leads to his demise. Instead, his catastrophe stems from a mix of his personality flaws, societal pressures, and delusional views. These elements distinguish him from typical tragic figures and add complexity and realism to his character.
