Why does Jaques prefer to be sad in act iv scene i of as you like it?

In scene i act iv, Jaques does not express any preference for sadness. Although Jacques' character often speaks through melancholy, during their scenes in act iv the character's focus shifts towards melancholy in others around them including Orlando and Rosalind.
