When did Romance of the Three Kingdoms IX happen?

There seems to be a misunderstanding. Romance of the Three Kingdoms IX is a video game, not an actual historical event. It was released in 2003.

The game, however, is based on the historical period of the Three Kingdoms era in Chinese history, which took place from 220 AD to 280 AD.
