Why they call Solomon Jedidiah?

The child Solomon was originally born with the name Jedidiah by Prophet Nathan as per God's instructions. Solomon is a later used reference name, likely a diminutive for Solomon due to him being of royal blood lineage as the future king, as "Jedidiah" meant beloved of "Yah", another term of reverence to indicate God or "He".
