Mark Antony did not fight Julius Caesar. Instead, Mark Antony was a staunch supporter of Julius Caesar and one of his closest friends and allies. After Julius Caesar's death, Antony emerged as one of the leaders of the Caesarean faction and fought against the forces of Brutus and Cassius, the assassins of Julius Caesar, in the Battle of Philippi in 42 BCE.
