What happened to John Proctor after the Salem Witch Trials?

John Proctor was executed by hanging on August 19, 1692, during the Salem Witch Trials in colonial Massachusetts.

In the trials, over two hundred were accused of practicing witchcraft; thirty people (nineteen of whom were hanged) were ultimately executed as a result.
