Frosty the Snowman is a fictional character created by Walter E. Rollins and Steve Nelson. The character first appeared in the 1969 song of the same name, written by Rollins and Jack Rollins, and performed by Jimmy Durante. Frosty is a snowman who comes to life after a magical top hat is placed on his head. He then embarks on a journey to the North Pole to find a place to live where he won't melt. Along the way, he meets various characters, including a group of children, a reindeer, and Santa Claus.
