Is Christopher Robin from Winnie the Pooh a real person?

Christopher Robin Milne (21 August 1920 – 20 April 1996) was the only child of author A. A. Milne and his wife Daphne de Sélincourt. He is best known as the inspiration and namesake for the character Christopher Robin in his father's Winnie-the-Pooh stories.
