Who is Skye Sweetnam?

Skye Alexandra Sweetnam (born May 5, 1988) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She rose to fame in the early 2000s with her debut album, "Noise from Nowhere". Sweetnam's music is often described as pop rock, with influences of alternative rock and punk. She is best known for her hit singles "Billy S." and "Tangled Up in Me".

Sweetnam was born in Bolton, Ontario, Canada, and began playing the guitar at the age of 11. She signed a record deal with Sony Music Canada in 1999 and released her debut album, "Noise from Nowhere", in 2004. The album was certified gold in Canada and sold over 100,000 copies worldwide.

Sweetnam's second album, "Sound Soldier", was released in 2007 and debuted at number 21 on the Canadian Albums Chart. The album was supported by the singles "Human", "Love Me", and "Forever Today".
