What did Johnny say to ponyboy at the end of chapter 9?

At the end of Chapter 9 of The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, Johnny does not say anything to Ponyboy. He is in a critical condition after being badly burned in a fire, and is fighting for his life in the hospital.
