Who killed kock robin?

The traditional nursery rhyme "Who Killed Cock Robin?" doesn't actually say who killed him. It simply lists a series of characters and their roles in the death.

Here's the rhyme:

Who Killed Cock Robin?

* "I," said the sparrow, "with my bow and arrow."

* "I," said the cuckoo, "with my knife so true."

* "I," said the weasel, "with my long claw."

* "I," said the owl, "with my flying fall."

* "I," said the cat, "with my paw."

* "I," said the dog, "with my sharp teeth."

* "I," said the farmer, "with my gun."

* "I," said the priest, "with my book."

The final verse says:

* "Who'll bury Cock Robin?"

* "I," said the little wren, "with my spade and shovel, I'll bury him in the ground."

The rhyme focuses on the process of death and burial rather than pinpointing a specific killer. It's meant to be a simple, repetitive story for children.
