Most people have had a least one bad experience with customer service. Have characters posing as customers waiting in line to have their computer serviced. The customers are forced to deal with a rude customer-service agent until someone asks for the manager. The manager is rude to all the customers until his wife steps up in the line with her computer. The wife at that point can start to act as "the real manager."
Most people are familiar with the big names in entertainment. Depending on how many people you have for your skit, you can incorporate pop icons such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Madonna or Beyonce. Have them argue about who has the biggest impact on music today. They could do this by comparing how many Twitter followers they have, how many Facebook fans, or how many records they've sold. The characters keep looking for ways to top each other until it becomes ridiculous.
Work a skit around some of the biggest names in sports. Dress the members of your skit to resemble sports figures, using the team attire and wigs and makeup. One suggestion is to have the pretend athletes talk about their financial struggles, since most of them are making millions of dollars. The sketch could involve ridiculous predicaments that come with making a lot of money, such as deciding on whether to buy a house with twelve bathrooms or thirteen bedrooms.
A church confessional would make a good setup for a skit. A character posing as a priest is there to hear the confessions. One or a few characters go into the confessional with a silly list of "sins" that aren't actual sins, such as "I had too many items in the express checkout three times this week." Or, the confessions could just be bizarre things: "I barked back at three dogs today," or "I have imaginary friends but they don't like me because I refuse to shake hands with them." The priest tries to explain that they're not sinning, but to no avail. Another idea is to have characters acting as old people confessing to "crazy" things that old people wouldn't be expected to do.
