How many films did charlie chaplin write?

Charlie Chaplin wrote the screenplay for most of his films. He also wrote, directed, starred in, and often composed the music for many of them.

While it's difficult to get an exact number, it's safe to say Chaplin wrote the screenplay for at least 30 of his films. Some of his most famous works that he wrote include:

* The Kid (1921)

* The Gold Rush (1925)

* The Circus (1928)

* City Lights (1931)

* Modern Times (1936)

* The Great Dictator (1940)

* Limelight (1952)

However, he did collaborate with other writers on some projects and didn't solely write the screenplay for all of his films.
