He was the original voice of Bugs Bunny and many other iconic cartoon characters, and continued to voice Bugs in this film even after his death in 1989. The voice was actually recorded in the late 1970s for use in a proposed Bugs Bunny film that never materialized. Director Robert Zemeckis was able to utilize these recordings for the film.
