Usher Raymond V (born October 14, 1978), known simply as Usher, is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. He rose to fame in the late 1990s with the release of his second album, My Way (1997), which sold over eight million copies worldwide. He has since released eight more studio albums, all of which have been certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Usher has won numerous awards, including eight Grammy Awards, 32 American Music Awards (AMAs), and nine Soul Train Music Awards.

Usher has two sons, Usher Raymond V, who was born in 1998, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, who was born in 2008. He was previously married to Tameka Foster from 2007 to 2009.
