- A Phillips head screwdriver
- A flat head screwdriver
- A pair of pliers
- A flashlight
1. Remove the console trim panel. There are four screws that hold the console trim panel in place. Two of the screws are located at the top of the panel, and two are located at the bottom. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws.
2. Remove the radio knobs. There are four radio knobs that need to be removed. Use the pliers to gently pry the knobs off of the radio face.
3. Remove the radio faceplate. There are four screws that hold the radio faceplate in place. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws.
4. Disconnect the radio wiring harness. There is a wiring harness that connects the radio to the car's electrical system. Use the flat head screwdriver to pry the connector loose.
5. Remove the radio from the dash. There are four screws that hold the radio in place. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws.
6. Pull the radio out of the dash. Once the screws have been removed, the radio can be pulled out of the dash. Be careful not to damage the wiring harness.
Here are some additional tips that may be helpful:
- Use the flashlight to get a good look at the screws and wiring harness.
- Be careful not to drop any of the screws.
- If you are having difficulty removing the radio, you may need to use a pry bar.
Once the radio has been removed, you can install the new radio.
