Where did Deck the Halls come from?
"Deck the Halls" is a traditional English Christmas carol. The earliest known version of the carol dates back to 1862, when it was published in "Popular Christmas Carols" by John Francis Wade. Wade's version of the carol was based on a traditional Welsh folk song called "Nos Galan" ("New Year's Night"). The carol has since become one of the most popular Christmas carols in the world, and has been recorded by numerous artists.
