What does the song Helena by your chemical romance mean?

The song "Helena" by My Chemical Romance is a tribute to lead singer Gerard Way's late grandmother, Elena Lee Rush. After her death he felt so brokenhearted and devastated as she passed away a week before Christmas so the lyrics talk about feeling broken, cold and all he wants for Christmas is for her to come back.

Another interpretation is about him not knowing who he is so he turns into her which could mean as kids we often imitate our idols and role models so perhaps she was one for him.
