Who writes the songs for My Chemical Romance?

The majority of My Chemical Romance's songs are written by lead vocalist Gerard Way and lead guitarist Ray Toro. Gerard Way is credited as the primary songwriter for the band, contributing lyrics and melodies. Ray Toro co-writes many of the songs and contributes music, guitar riffs, and arrangements. Occasionally, other members of the band such as rhythm guitarist Frank Iero or drummer Jarrod Alexander have also contributed to the songwriting process.
