Open the Windows Media Player program. You can do this by either double-clicking on the icon on your desktop or by clicking the "Start" button in the bottom left corner, then selecting the program from the menu.
Select "Library" from the menu bar across the top of the screen. This will show you all the song files already stored in your music library.
Click the "Burn List" option, then click "Clear List" to create your oldies song list. This will open a new window called the "Burn List."
Select songs from your library and drag the them to the "Burn List" window that you want to copy onto the CD. Repeat this process until you've copied all the oldies songs you want onto the "Burn List." Most blank CDs hold 12 to 15 songs, depending on the sizes of the music files. If you want to burn more songs, you may have to make two different CDs.
Re-arrange the order of the songs in the "Burn List" into the order you want them to play. Do this by highlighting the song with your mouse, then dragging it either up or down. Remove a song from the list by right-clicking on the title and selecting "Remove from List."
Put a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc into your CD drive, making sure the writing on the CD is face-up.
Press the "Start Burn" button at the top of the screen and select "Audio CD" from the drop down menu. This confirms that you are burning a CD as opposed to a DVD.
Click the "Start Burn" button to begin burning the CD. Once a CD is burned, you cannot burn additional song files onto it.
