Was the am really a suicide song?

There is much speculation about whether Radiohead's song "Creep" is about suicide. The lyrics do contain some dark and depressing themes, but the actual interpretation of the song is subjective. On the surface, the song expresses fear and insecurity with no direct link to the act of ending one's life.
