Where do you go to copyright your lyrics in New York?

There is currently no U.S. copyright registry office for lyrics or compositions. Although this may change under new provisions of pending copyright legislation, as of 2022, works of authorship do not have to be registered with the Copyright Office to be protected by copyright.
