Use correct vocal technique to hit notes in the baritone range. The most important body parts to control are not the vocal cords, which should be allowed to be free. Use your diaphragm to send air across your vocal cords. Keep your tongue flat, your soft pallet raised and your mouth very open.
Perfect your range. In order to be a true baritone, you must be able to sing the whole range required. Some can do this naturally, but you may need to train your voice. This takes practice, so be patient and remember that not everyone can sing baritone. Start by finding your current range and then sing songs that stretch your high and low ranges until you perfect the entire range.
Achieve the distinctive tonality of the baritone by creating as much space inside your mouth as possible for the vocal wave to resonate. Visualize the vocal waves traveling up past your throat and bouncing around before leaving your body. Another technique to achieve the tonality is to focus on how much vibration you can feel between your eyes, just above your nose, while singing.
Find a performance group to sing with and begin practicing. You need to be able to add a rich tone quality through the lower and mid range.
