What sounds can be felt?

That's a great question! It's not quite accurate to say sounds can be "felt" in the same way we feel touch. Sound is a vibration that travels through the air (or other mediums like water). However, those vibrations can be perceived in several ways:

* Through our sense of touch:

* Loud sounds: If a sound is loud enough, the vibrations can be felt through our skin as pressure waves. Think of standing near a powerful speaker or a concert with booming bass.

* Sound conduction: We can feel vibrations through our bones and tissues. This is how we hear when we have a cold or when we press a tuning fork against our forehead.

* Haptic feedback: Some technology uses vibrations to create sensations of touch. This is used in things like cell phone notifications or even in some video games.

* Through our inner ear:

* Hearing: Our ears are specifically designed to pick up vibrations in the air and convert them into electrical signals that our brain interprets as sound. While this isn't technically "feeling," it is a very close sensation.

So, while sound itself isn't something we feel in the same way we feel pressure or temperature, we can perceive its vibrations through our sense of touch, bone conduction, and of course, through our hearing.
