How to Make a Pop Filter With a Hanger

Having the right home studio equipment will take you a long way toward achieving the sound you want. A pop filter, a screen placed between the vocalist and microphone, is one such important tool in your recording arsenal because it prevents microphones from getting overloaded, which causes distortion. The screen works by cutting out popping sounds that come from singing words starting with a "p" or "b" as well as sibilance, a hissing sound that comes from singing words starting with "s" and "z."
