- Natalie Cole: Grammy-winning singer and daughter of the legendary Nat King Cole. Cole studied sociology at UCLA and graduated in 1972. During her time at UCLA, she performed with the university's R&B group, The Emotions.
- Jim Morrison: Lead singer of the legendary rock band The Doors. Morrison studied theater arts and film at UCLA and attended from 1964-1965. He was known for his poetic lyrics and countercultural image.
- Sara Bareilles: Grammy-winning singer-songwriter known for hits such as "Love Song" and "Brave". Bareilles studied communications studies at UCLA and graduated in 2003. She performed at open mic nights and local clubs during her time in Los Angeles.
- John Legend: Multi-Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist. Legend studied English and African American studies at UCLA and graduated in 1999. He was involved in the university's a cappella group, Counterpoint, and began performing and producing music while at UCLA.
- Katie Perry: Pop singer and songwriter behind hit songs such as "Fireworks" and "California Gurls". Perry studied music at UCLA but left before graduation to pursue a music career. She released her debut album, "One of the Boys", in 2008 and achieved widespread recognition.
